Hotel Review - Haymarket Hotel Edinburgh Scotland

The Haymarket Hotel in Edinburgh is located right across the road from the Haymarket train station. There is also a bus from the airport that drops you off a few meters from the hotel. The Haymarket hotel it a townhouse hotel.

We made the mistake of going to the wrong hotel. There is another hotel called Haymarket hub hotel which we thought was the one but it wasn't. The one we stayed at was only a short walk around the corner.

I was travelling with my dad so we wanted 2 single beds. When we checked in the friendly staff took us to a room on the third floor. We opened the door and saw a double bed. So the lady ran downstairs to find us a new room and we ended up in another room on the lower ground floor which was great cause there wasn't many stairs.

The sheets looked different but they were clean so that's all that mattered.

The room was just a typical room beds, Tv, bathroom, which is all you need because we were going to be out all day anyway, we just needed somewhere to sleep. The Hotel also had a little bar and restaurant which was nice. The room was clean and spacious.

The staff was very friendly and always smiled and said hello as we passed the reception.

There is no Elevator there so I would be mindful of bringing huge suitcases. We only had a small one and a backpack so it was not that bad.

It was also in a great location close to everything. It was just a short walk to the city centre and also to the next station which is Waverly station. It also had the Edinburgh town house vibe which was great.

Highly recommend this hotel

Hope you enjoyed this review. I have a few more hotel reviews to post from my trip and also ones I have stayed at over the years. They will be up soon.

Until next time
