Hotel Review - Haymarket Hotel Edinburgh Scotland

The Haymarket Hotel in Edinburgh is conveniently situated just across from the Haymarket train station. Additionally, there's a bus service from the airport that stops mere meters from the hotel. The Haymarket is a townhouse-style hotel.

Initially, we accidentally visited the wrong hotel, mistaking the Haymarket Hub Hotel for our destination. Fortunately, the correct hotel was just a short stroll around the corner.

Traveling with my father, we required two single beds. Upon check-in, the amiable staff escorted us to a third-floor room, which unexpectedly had a double bed. The staff member promptly went downstairs to arrange another room for us, and we were reassigned to a more accessible room on the lower ground floor, which was ideal due to the fewer stairs.

The sheets looked different but they were clean so that's all that mattered.

The room was standard, equipped with beds, a TV, and a bathroom—everything necessary for travelers who plan to be out all day and just need a place to sleep. The hotel also featured a quaint bar and restaurant, which was a pleasant addition. The room itself was tidy and roomy.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming, always offering smiles and greetings whenever we walked by the reception.

The absence of an elevator is something to consider if you're carrying large luggage. Since we only had a small suitcase and a backpack, it wasn't much of an issue for us.

The hotel's location was excellent, close to all amenities. A brief stroll led to the city center and Waverly Station. It also boasted a charming Edinburgh townhouse vibe, which was delightful.

I highly recommend this hotel.

I hope you found this review helpful. I plan to post additional hotel reviews from my travels, as well as those from past stays, shortly.

Until next time.
